Housing Application Information

If you are interested in living on campus, please submit your housing application, along with your $100 deposit ($75 is refundable if you cancel your housing contract prior to June 1st) to the Community Living office at:

Department of Community Living
1100 College Street, MUW-1626
Columbus, MS 39701

Once submitted, and upon your acceptance to the university, you will receive a housing assignment within two weeks.  Remember--we cannot guarantee any private rooms until the first two weeks of class during our Consolidation Process.  If you have a roommate in mind, please make sure you note the roommate on your application (and they note you on their application).

If you are having a hard time finding a roommate, you may check out our roommate matching site on Facebook (www.facebook.com) and search under "groups" for "Community Living Roommate Matching Lounge."  There you will meet others looking for roommates too.

Please make sure you read over the housing contract before signing and submitting.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (662) 329-7127 and/or through email at communityliving@muw.edu

Campus Emergency Response Plan

In light of the tragic events at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007, our thoughts and prayers are with the Virginia Tech family.  During times like this, it is important to remember to be alert and cautious in dealing with emergency crisis situations.  Please see our emergency information site under general information.  There you will find some response items to various situations and circumstances.  As always, please have MUW campus police's phone number stored in a cell phone.  Their number is 662-241-7777.
