Where Our Graduate Students Go

Our graduates leave their programs with the knowledge and the skills necessary for successful careers. For example, graduates from the programs in Education typically return to the schools, where their knowledge about how children learn and develop makes them better teachers.

In addition to returning to the schools, graduates from the program in Health Education work for the federal government, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, at the Mississippi Department of Health, and for non-profit organizations.

Graduates from the program in Speech-Language Pathology have no problems securing job placements upon graduation. In fact, their supervisors consistently report that MUW graduates are the best prepared for professional practice.

Graduates from the program in Nursing practice all over the region, often opening their own clinics. In addition, one recent graduate serves as the head of the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
