Freshman Parent & Family Members
Sending a child to college is not always easy. We understand that parents have questions and concerns, and we want to address those in the family member program. While family members attend many of the same activities as their students, they also have special sessions to meet their interests and needs.

Family members attending Orientation will meet University administrators and faculty, get to know other family members, and learn how to help their students be successful in college. One goal of our program is to teach family members how to live on their own again, so they will be housed in a separate residence hall from students.

Transfer Parents & Family Members

Whether you are sending a son or daughter away from home for the first time or supporting your spouse’s decision to continue his/her education, you may have questions about MUW. Parents and family members are welcome to attend and learn more about Mississippi University for Women.
