Orientation Leaders

Lana Bryant is a senior Elementary Education major from Millport, AL. Lana is a returning Orientation Leader who now holds the position as Head Orientation Leader. Lana is a member of the Hearin Leadership Program, Torch Honor Society, Baptist Student Union, and Kappa Delta Epsilon. She is also an active participant in intramural sports. Lana enjoys going to church, singing, playing sports, working out, and planning her wedding. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Lana loves MUW, not only for the beautiful campus, but also because everyone here is a big happy family! She loves the academic opportunities that MUW has to offer, as well as, the friendly atmosphere among students, faculty, and staff.
Candis Wilson is a junior Elementary Education major. She is from Hamilton, MS and is a returning Orientation Leader. This year Candis serves as the Family Activities Coordinator for Orientation. She is a member of a 4-year social club where she serves as the rush chair and pledge trainer. When she is not doing homework or working, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing with her niece and nephew, and meeting new people everyday! She chose MUW for the wonderful extended family you become a part of, and not only is MUW a place for you to get an education, it is a place for you to grow and become the person you are inside.
Aaron Chu is a junior Pre-Physical Therapy major from Pascagoula, MS. This is Aaron’s second year as an Orientation Leader. He is extremely involved on campus. He is part of the Hearin Leadership Program, a fraternity on campus, and he works for the Office of Campus Recreation. Aaron enjoys spending time with family and friends, playa variety of sports, and loves working out. He loves the beach and fast cars, and he loves to hunt and fish. Aaron loves MUW because of its atmosphere and relationships he has built with people on campus. He believes MUW is the place to be and that no where else can compare.

Cody Hammack is a senior Psychology major from Berry, AL. This is his first year to be an Orientation Leader. He is also involved in the Hearin Leadership Program and is a member of PTK Alumni. When Cody is not studying or working in the Goose, he enjoys playing music, spending time with friends and family, and making new friends. Cody loves MUW because the small environment, and because everyone is so nice!

Tomeka Reynolds is a junior English/Pre-Law major with a minor in Spanish. She is from Biloxi, MS, and this is her second year as an O.L. She is extremely involved on campus in organizations such as Hearin Leadership Program, Student Government Association, Lantern Honor Society, IMAGE, and Student Alumni Association.  Tomeka was a Hearin High School student leader and she is a member of a 4-year social club.  She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, playing sports, shopping, working-out, but most importantly, eating and sleeping!  She loves MUW because of the friendly, family environment and the many opportunities that students have to get involved on campus, as well as, in the community.
Tim Steele is a senior Business Management major from Burlington, Iowa. He spent several years in the Marines before returning to college to pursue his education.  This is his first year as an Orientation Leader.  He is active on campus as the Public Relations Representative for his fraternity.  In addition, he keeps busy in activities such as Honors College, Hearin Leadership Program, Toastmasters, W Reps, Student Government Association, and TVA Investment Club. Tim loves going to MUW because you are always surrounded by friends.

Eunice K. Coleman is a junior Pre-Nursing major with a minor in Psychology from Madison, MS. This is Eunice's second year as an Orientation Leader and loves every minute of it. She is involved in a 4-year social club, MUW's Elite Modeling Squad, United Harmony, competes in intramural sports, an ACA, works for Community Living, and attends Missionary Union Baptist Church. She loves to eat, ride horses, shop, read, and work out. Some of the reasons Eunice loves MUW are the friendly faculty and staff, as well as, the students, the comfort of feeling at home, and the beautiful campus.

Emily Butler is a senior Communications major with a minor in Music.  This is her first year as an Orientation Leader.  She is from Bentonia, Mississippi and now lives in Ridgeland, MS.  She is a member of the Stark Recreation Special Events Planning Committee.  She is also active in her 2-year social club and honorary Little Sister in a local fraternity.  She enjoys singing,
reading, spending time with her family and friends and just goofing off in general!  Emily loves the W because of the rich history and the feeling of family between everyone on campus!
BessToyama is a sophomore History/Social Science Education major from Sacramento , CA . This is her first year as an Orientation leader. She is a member of the Hearin Leadership Program, Ina E Gordy Honors College, a 4-year social club, W-Reps, and the Honors Council. Bess likes to read, hang out with friends, cook, sleep, dance, drive, and sing. She loves MUW because it is a home away from home, has amazing traditions, and supports lasting friendships.
TaNaya Bluitt is a junior Elementary Education major from Columbus, MS. This is her second year as an Orientation Leader. TaNaya is very involved in student activities such as, secretary of MUW’s Elite Modeling Squad, United Harmony Connections Mime Team, IMAGE, and BLACS. TaNaya loves MUW because of its rich history, excellent opportunities, and the feeling of a home away from home.
Lauren Jee is a junior English major from Greenwood, MS. This is Lauren's first year as an Orientation Leader. She is actively involved on campus and is part of a 4-year social club, Ina E. Gordy Honors College, Student Government Association, Honors' Advisory Council, Southern Women's Institute, and is a College Ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences.  She absolutely loves to jam out and dance to music, arts and crafts time, and thrift store shopping. Most of the time you can find her at Stark-Pohl Recreation Center swimming or working out. The scenic campus, lively traditions, and amiable faculty attracted Lauren to MUW.

Abby Turner , from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is a junior at MUW majoring in English Education. This is her second year to be part of the MUW Orientation Staff. Abby is a part of the Community Living Staff, a member of the MUW Chorale, and also participates in the Hearin Leadership Program. She also enjoys reading almost any book she can get and going on road trips. Abby loves MUW because of the beautiful campus, close-knit environment, and the ample opportunities to get to know new people!
