Personal Training

Who Can Benefit From Personal Training?
We believe that everyone can benefit from a personal trainer. Whether you are a novice or an expert, a personal trainer can customize a program to match your exercise needs. Let us design an exercise program for you in order to meet your individual needs and goals.

Personal Training:
Personal training allows you to work one-on-one with a personal trainer. Each client will be assessed and recieve a personal workout plan according to his/her specific goals and needs. The trainer works on an individual basis with the client during scheduled hours. Training sessions are made by appointment only.

Getting Started:
Stop by the Office of Campus Recreation located in Stark Recreation Center, Room 101 and fill out a personal training registration packet to get started. Once your training package is complete, our Wellness Coordinator will assign you a personal trainer so that you are ready to begin and be on the road to a healthier, more fit you! Payment is due at registration.

Session Expectation:
You can expect a Campus Recreation trainer to develop the most appropriate fitness program tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're trying to lose weight, learn how to exercise more effectively, develop a strength training program, or just improve your overall health, we can help.

Fitness Assessment:
A free fitness assessment is included with each personal Training package. However, if you only want a fitness assessment, the price is $20.00.

The fitness assessment is a valuable tool when evaluating and designing your exercise program. Your personal trainer will use your results to identify your current fitness level and determine your exercise program focus.

A variety of health and fitness categories will be assessed, including:

  • Body composition
  • Cardio-respiratory fitness
  • Muscular strength and endurance
  • Flexbility
  • Resting heart rate and blood pressure
