A person’s health is quite possibly the most important thing they have to look after. This includes not only physical health but mental health as well.

Mississippi University for Women’s counseling center is aiming to help raise awareness of the different tools available to help with that during the third annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the W Room of the Hogarth Student Center.

“This is an opportunity for W students, faculty and staff as well as the Columbus community to become acquainted with the vendors and their service offerings. Hopefully this may provide some of the vendor’s availability access to populations they may not typically reach,” said Dr. Deb Wells, director for the counseling center.

There will be around 25 unique vendors from The W’s campus as well as throughout the Golden Triangle on hand to talk about the different services offered and the benefits of said services to a person’s overall wellbeing.

The event is free and open to the public.
