Town and Tower meeting to feature supervisor president Trip Hairston
Town & Tower’s spring meeting will feature Trip Hairston, president of the Lowndes County Board of Supervisors.
Hairston, who represents District 2 in Lowndes County, will speak at Mississippi University for Women Thursday, March 28 at 11:30 a.m. in Hogarth Dining Center, Pope Banquet Room.
In November of 2019, Hairston was elected as a supervisor and is currently serving a four-year term. In October of 2020, he was elected president of the Board of Supervisors.
Hairston is the administrator for Nephrology Associates, P.C. where he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the growing practice and responsible for related business interests of the partners.
He attended the University of Mississippi and achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration, Banking and Finance degree in 1994. Hairston continued graduate studies and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Belhaven College in 1999.
A native of Columbus, Hairston is married to Dr. Bethany Reed Hairston of Columbus. They have one daughter and two sons. He enjoys spending time with family and hunting, fishing, backpacking with his sons, running and competing in triathlons.
The cost to attend the luncheon is $20. The public is invited. Following Thursday’s luncheon, The W will unveil a historical marker honoring its founding mothers on Callaway Lawn at 1:30 p.m. The marker will be placed to the side of the gate leading from College Street to Callaway Hall.
