Please join us in celebrating the career of Elayne Goodman. A local alum with a national reputation, Goodman has delighted viewers with her colorful mixed media works in her unique folk-art style. Her artwork is in the collections of the Ogden Museum in New Orleans, Montgomery Museum of Art, and Musée International des Arts Modestes in Sète, France. Her work has been featured in magazines, such as Rolling Stone, American Art, Southern Living, and Folk Art Magazine. In 2024, she was the subject of alumna Sheryl Jeffries’ paper at the International Committee for Art History in France.

Goodman earned her BFA in studio art in 1989 and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2007 from Mississippi University for Women.
