The Marketing concentration prepares students for the creative, fast-paced business of developing, promoting, and selling products, services and ideas to unique customer markets. Marketing professionals research consumer demand, assist in the development of new products and services, and build interest through public relations, social media, and advertisements.
Marketing students learn how to promote products in traditional ways, like sales, print ads, and television ads. However, as the media change, so does marketing. As such, marketing students learn how to work with media such as website development, video, and social media marketing.
A career in marketing is enjoyable, fun, and one of the fastest growing career paths in the world. A degree in marketing opens up a broad range of career options because marketing is everywhere. Every business, service, and nonprofit organization needs marketing for success. Thus, almost all organizations employ marketing professionals.
