About Christy Dickerson

MPA, University of Southern Mississippi

Christy Dickerson holds a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting. She has over 30 years of experience in both public and private accounting having worked for national, regional, and local CPA firms as well as a number of private businesses. Her first job opportunity after completing her education was as an auditor with Deloitte. Other experiences through regional and local firms include providing business accounting services to clients. Providing such services at BKD, LLP; Smith, Turner, and Reeves; and T.E. Lott she gained valuable accounting and industry experience with a variety of clients including landscape management and construction companies, restaurants, law firms, medical practices, financial planning companies and several start-up companies. Her private accounting experiences include serving as an accounting controller for a wireless provider, a real estate management company, and a local toy wholesale/retail company. Ms. Dickerson teaches undergraduate accounting courses at The W.
