About Dr. Kelly Woodford

JD, Georgetown University Law Center

Dr. Woodford holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Spring Hill College Woodford and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Alabama Bar. Dr. Woodford has worked in higher education for nearly three decades. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Emory University School of Law, and prior to that she was the Associate Dean at the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business. Dr. Woodford has also operated Kelly Collins Woodford LLC, where she provided day-to-day employment law and human resources advice to clients in a variety of industries. For more than a decade, she served at multiple law firms as special counsel, partner and associate in the Washington, D.C. and Mobile, Alabama, areas. Dr. Woodford’s research interests include Wage and Hour Law, Employment Discrimination Law, Labor Law, and Teaching & Learning Scholarship. Dr. Woodford teaches courses in legal studies and is a member of the Graduate Faculty.
