Academic training in Communication theory, processes and effects. Research interests include media effects & cognition, political communication, and entertainment theory (especially in the area of new media, such as the Web and video games). Research presentations before Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC), International Communication Association (ICA), National Communication Association (NCA), Mississippi Communication Association (MCA), Broadcast Education Association (BEA), Southern States Communication Association (SSCA), Southwest Education Council for Journalism & Mass Communication (SWECJMC), American Academy of Advertising (AAA), and Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR). Elected officer in SSCA. Published research on video games and political communication. Experience in television & film production, audio production, and graphic design.
