The Bebe Roberts Freeman Scholarship is awarded annually on a competitive basis to incoming community college transfer students to the School of Education’s Anchor Points program. This unique scholarship opportunity awards $2,000 per year to help an Elementary Education major with academic-related expenses. The Bebe Roberts Freeman Scholarship may be stacked with other scholarship awards from The W or outside sources. In other words, winning another scholarship will not make you ineligible for the Bebe Roberts Freeman Scholarship, nor will it reduce your total award amount from the university. Your total combined scholarship package may not exceed the annual cost of attendance as defined each year by the university.
While preference for awarding the Bebe Roberts Freeman Scholarship will be granted to incoming community college transfer students entering the School of Education’s Anchor Points program, all W Elementary Education transfer students meeting minimum criteria are encouraged to apply each year.
