Dr. Sandra Melvin, DrPH, MPH

Chief Executive Officer, Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health


Dr. Melvin will discuss the Institute’s focus on increasing reproductive health access for minority women, including providing resources for contraception, STD/HIV prevention, and care before and after pregnancy. Dr. Melvin is currently also researching the effects of implicit bias and perceived discrimination on the accessibility and availability of health care services for African American women in Mississippi.
