Teaching Areas: World Civilizations I&II, Medieval History, Early Modern History, Ancient History, Cultural History. Upper Level Courses include: Conquest and Exploration in the Medieval World, Rise of Islam: The Medieval Middle East, and Women in European History.
Research Interests: Women’s and Gender History, The History of Emotions, Medieval Legal History, and the History of Marriage and Sexuality. I am interested in the ways women used the legal system in medieval Europe and the expectations both men and women had within their marriages.
Dissertation title: “Agency and Expectations: Women’s Experiences in Marriage Disputes in Fourteenth-Century Paris.”
