English Minor
Students majoring in a discipline other than English may earn the English Minor by taking 15 hours of English beyond the 9-12 English hours in the General Education curriculum. Of those five classes, any number can be literature, creative writing, theory, or TESOL classes.
The minor is designed to be flexible to allow students to pursue their interests. A minor in English can develop interpretive skills, as well as strengthen writing and critical thinking skills, while allowing the student to explore the literary styles, periods, and genres they enjoy.
