The Exercise Science option prepares students to work in the health/fitness industry or to work with athletes in a non-school setting. Students take courses in the biological and physical sciences in preparation for their coursework in the Exercise Science program. The program curriculum emphasizes the anatomy, physiology, and mechanics of human movement. Laboratory activities provide hands-on experiences with equipment commonly used in the field.
The Health Professions program is based upon admissions requirements for the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Health Related Professions (SHRP). Students must formally apply for and be accepted to the Health Professions program.
