Mississippi University for Women will hold its annual Women’s Health Awareness Luncheon, Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Pope Banquet Room of Hogarth Dining Hall. The luncheon is co-sponsored by Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle and The W’s Department of Health & Kinesiology.

This year’s topic, “Nutrition Across the Ages,” will be presented by Stephanie Markham, MS, RD, LD, a clinical dietitian and the Clinical Nutrition Manager at BMH-GT. Her presentation will also explore the connection between nutrition and diseases such as diabetes and cancer, offering practical advice on maintaining good health through balanced nutrition.

“This luncheon is a great opportunity for women to learn about nutrition and how it affects their overall health at every stage of life,” said Dr. Chad Murphy, coordinator of the Master of Public Health program.
