Welcome new faculty
Students were welcomed back to the campus of Mississippi University for Women this week, and along with them, a group of new faculty members also came aboard.
The group includes highly qualified individuals who will find their homes in the many departments across campus. They include:
Dr. Matthew Moniz is a visiting assistant professor of English. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in English at the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Master of Arts in English from McNeese State University.
Dr. Ethan Flurry is a visiting assistant professor of psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Psychology, Master of Science in Experimental Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University.
Gail Griffith is a visiting assistant professor of mathematics. She earned her Master of Education from William Carey College and her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from The W.
Dr. Tracee Watkins is the director of the Culinary Arts Institute. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Hospitality Management and Graduate Certificate in Food Safety and Defense from Kansas State University. She earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in both Culinary Arts and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Mississippi State University.
Laurel Jones is an instructor of speech-language pathology. She earned her master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from The W.
Dr. Deborah Watson is an assistant professor of kinesiology. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College.
Terry Maddox is an instructor in the BSN program. He earned his MS in Nursing from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Tiffany Sanders is an instructor in the ASN program. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing and her associates degree in Nursing from The W.

Dr. Renea Hopple is an instructor of graduate nursing. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science of Nursing from The W.
Hannah Gray is an instructor in the BSN program. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama.

Rachael Damms is an assistant professor and collections librarian. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and her bachelor degree in History from The W.
Anita Pintado is an assistant professor and access services librarian. She earned her MLIS from The Catholic University of America and her bachelor degree in History from Barry University.
