Prospective students who plan to take non-nursing courses at other institutions should contact the program chair regarding transfer of credit prior to taking the courses. The Human Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology courses must include labs. A minimum grade of "C" must be earned in all required courses for the ASN curriculum. Two failures (less than "C") in a required science course will disqualify a student from admission into the ASN Program.
Students must apply for admission into the University. Students must meet admission requirements to the University before an offer of acceptance to the ASN program is made. This is done by completing an MUW Admission Form, submitting a completed Immunization Form and Health Examination Form and having all transcripts mailed to the Office of Admissions. The following link will provide you with admission information:
The application to the LPN/RN Advanced Placement Option is separate from the application to the University. Applicants must submit official transcripts of all colleges attended (mailed in a sealed envelope or e-scripted to asn@muw.edu), ACT score verification (uploaded with online application or e-mailed to asn@muw.edu), a current unencumbered MS license (uploaded with online application), and the work verification letter confirming one year experience or 860 hours as an LPN (uploaded with online application), and online ASN application by 5:00 pm on April 1st. Click on the links below for additional information concerning the required work verification letter, deadlines, and information concerning admission requirements and the curriculum. New applications will be available starting in December of each year and will be posted to this website.
