The University of Alabama at Birmingham Chamber Trio consists of Dr. Denise Gainey, clarinet; Dr. James Zingara, trumpet; and Dr. Christopher Steele, piano. Dedicated to featuring new music, the ensemble will perform a program of works written especially for them including pieces by MUW’s own Dr. Joe L. Alexander and Dr. Valentin Bogdan.

The Department of Music welcomes alumni back to The W with the Homecoming Music Student Showcase at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in Poindexter Hall’s Connie Kossen Auditorium.
Located in historic Columbus, Mississippi, The W was founded in 1884 as the first state-supported college for women in the United States.
