Thanks to the QEP committee and the Connie and Tom Kossen Center for Teaching and Learning for helping us launch our first Summer Scholars Research Program in 2019, and special thanks to the MUW Foundation for continuing to support and grow this program.
The program
For our first year to offer this program, we are inviting faculty and student researcher pairs to submit an application to participate in summer research. Faculty will receive compensation for facilitating a 5-week summer internship, and students will receive tuition for internship credit, and room/board for either a 5- or 10-week summer term. Students will be asked to present on this research, either at the Undergraduate Research Conference in the spring, or at an external conference of their choosing. Faculty will be asked for a brief report on their experiences as a summer mentor following the completion of the program.
