Advising Notes
Validation Credit of competencies developed through technical coursework will be awarded to each student on a case by case basis for demonstration of corresponding institutional academic competencies through pass/fail testing. Validation credit will not be considered until the transferring student has successfully completed one academic semester as a full-time W student with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The following courses may be considered for validation credit, up to 27 credit hours:

For students interested in the B.S. in Elementary Education degree pathway, please remember that students may qualify for this licensure track after meeting all of the following:
- Complete all Block 1 and 2 courses
- Earn 3.0 GPA on most recent 60 credit hours OR an ACT score of 21 OR pass MDE Praxis Core with the following minimum sub-scores:

- Take MAT 1723 & MAT 1743 for The W’s MA 111: Modern Elementary Math I
- Take MAT 1733 for The W’s MA 112: Modern Elementary Math II
