Mississippi University for Women is committed to assessing its effectiveness in achieving its mission and purpose.
The W’s ability to monitor its effectiveness and use the results for improvement are important indicators of the quality of the university. The W embraces the idea that institutional planning and evaluation are best achieved when all campus constituencies and all operational levels are involved in these processes.
The W recognizes that assessment efforts will vary among the different units on campus, but all planning and evaluation efforts should be ongoing, integrated, and institution-wide, research-based and should result in continuous improvement of the University.
Governing Policies
Mississippi University for Women is governed by the policies of the Board of Trustees of the Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL), the policies of Mississippi University for Women (MUW or The W), and the policies of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
