About Ms. Pounders

Jennifer E. Pounders, M.S., CCC-SLP serves MUW as the Clinic Director of the Speech and Hearing Center. She is also an undergraduate instructor and serves as the sponsor of MUW’s National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Mrs. Pounders earned a B.S. from Mississippi University for Women and a M.S. from the University of Mississippi. Before joining the faculty at MUW in 2021, Mrs. Pounders served as a public school SLP for the Monroe County School District in MS for 16 years. Her interests include speech sound disorders, developmental delay, and language disorders in preschool and school-age children. Mrs. Pounders is certified in LSVT LOUD for Parkinson’s and is a licensed SPEAK OUT! Provider.
