On Sept. 18, Mississippi University for Women’s Career Services and Professional Development Center relaunched the Etiquette Dinner in the Culinary Arts Institute Dining Room at The W. During the event, the guests learned networking tips and etiquette for a formal dining setting while enjoying a seven-course dinner prepared by MUW Dining Services.

Elise Wilson, director of the CSPD Center, was thrilled to relaunch the Etiquette Dinner, adding, “This experience is designed to empower our students, helping them feel comfortable in a formal dinner setting by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to reach their career goals and thrive in diverse workplace settings.”

One attendee, Syniah L. Lester, a junior family science major, stated that the event was a, “wonderful and comfortable experience.”

Ricky Dubuisson, a senior music major, also expressed his satisfaction with the event.“ The Etiquette Dinner made me feel like The W recognized the potential my future holds. The skills and knowledge I gained have helped prepare me for a more professional setting as well as a higher class of society. I felt as if they were setting the standard for the environment my next chapter holds,” Dubuisson said.

The CSPD Center will continue to offer this opportunity to W students once a semester. If you would like to support the CSPD Center in its mission to provide students with experiences and resources that will put them “Heads Above the Rest,” please visit: give.muw.edu.
