Ken Wells grew up in Louisiana on the banks of Bayou Black. He wrote as a journalist for the Miami Herald, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg News. He has also written the novels Meely LaBauve, Junior’s Leg, Logan’s Storm, Crawfish Mountain, and Rascal, a Dog and His Boy, as well as nonfiction Travels with Barley, The Good Pirates of the Forgotten Bayous, and Gumbo Life.
