Angela Jackson-Brown teaches Creative Writing and English at Ball State University and brings her third book to the symposium. When Stars Rain Down is a historical novel that confronts a racial violence in north Georgia. Her previous publications incldue the novel Drinking from a Bitter Cup. and the poetry collection House Repairs. She is the recipient of the 2021 Alabama Authors Award in poetry from the Alabama Library Association. She is also a playwright, author of Anna’s Wings, Flossie Bailey Takes a Stand, It Is Well and Still Singing those Weary Blues and co-author with Ashya Thomas of Black Lives Matter (Too) and with Peter Davis of Dear Bobby: The Musical.
