Annette Trefzer teaches American literature and literary theory at the University of Mississippi. Her Eudora Welty Prize-winning study, Exposing Mississippi: Eudora Welty’s Photographic Reflections, is the first book-length critical study of Welty’s photographs in the context of Depression-Era Mississippi. Trefzer’s other writing includes Disturbing Indians: The Archaeology of Southern Fiction and five co-edited volumes on William Faulkner.
